In different regions of India, harvest festivals are celebrated with unique flair and customs. These festivals are known by various names, with the most common variations including Pongal, Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Poki, Bihu and Hadaga. While the core essence of the celebration remains the same, each region adds its own distinctive traditions and practices. At Pebble Creek, we celebrate the harvest festival as Pongal. We celebrated Pongal on Friday, 10th January 2025. Through a range of fun and engaging activities Pongal making, Dance Performance, Kite-Flying, Rangoli-Making students had the opportunity to learn about the significance of this festival while immersing themselves in its rich cultural heritage.
