Founder Director

Moiza is a synergy of thought and action. With her zest to create, ability to think deeply, and collaborate with the right people, she has managed to foster educational spaces that truly function to bring meaning to a child’s life, allow for self expression and build an inclusive community.

After her graduation in Economics and a PG Diploma in Public Relations, she earned a rich experience in Hospitality, Banking and Healthcare industries before she heard her calling for Education. She stepped into the field of Education with her Montessori 3-6 Diploma from AMI, the Netherlands followed by a BEd and an MEd.

She set up Pebble Creek Montessori House of Children in 2005 which organically branched out to Pebble Creek High Montessori School in 2008 and Pebble Creek Life School in 2012. In 2020, she laid the foundation of Indah Erdkinder in Lingapur where adolescents will learn about life, and engage in a wide range of academic disciplines by living and working in a farm.

She believes in the shortest quote of Dr. Maria Montessori “Believe in the child”, and that if observed carefully, every single child will show their true potential. With her passion for Montessori education and a dream to have a school with no boundaries, she walks into the school with joy each day. She finds herself often engrossed in thinking, dreaming and imagining; these have helped her pave the path for the schools so far. She loves reading Montessori philosophy and short articles on education, fiction, discussions, creating educational materials, gardening, sewing, painting and knitting.

Principal

Dr. Prem Kumar is a PhD in Mathematics and naturally passionate about the subject. In his career spanning two decades, he has worked as senior faculty in Mathematics in schools affiliated to various state boards, CBSE and ICSE, and has held the position of Principal of schools across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Dr. Kumar has been actively involved in textbook revising committees of CBSE and has an in-depth knowledge and expertise of the CBSE curriculum. He also is a trainer of Mathematics Pedagogy and Joyful Mathematics, and has authored several Mathematics books. Finding alignment of his Mathematics background with the Montessori methodology, he feels that the entire school is like a thriving Math lab when he observes students work with various materials, be it a toddler or an elementary child. He believes that he is blessed with effective administration skills and knowledge required in a school leader to provide any organisation a robust structure to operate within.

Arindita comes with a multi-disciplinary work experience of thirteen years, eleven of which she has spent working with children. After graduating in Mass Media and Mass Communication from Delhi University and doing a Certificate Course in Film Appreciation from Seagull Art and Media Resource Centre, Kolkata, she did her stints in media production, documentary filmmaking, book-publishing, event management and social development only to find her true calling in engaging with children and youth. Her journey began with conducting art and theatre workshops for children with special needs. She went on to get a Diploma in Experiential Education and Practices, an Advanced Diploma in Professional Training and Behavioural Management, and a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). She worked as an experiential facilitator and trainer for eight years during which she facilitated over 250 programs with schools across India as lead program designer and facilitator for outbound programs to USA, Bhutan, China, Mauritius and Egypt, adventure and creative facilitation camps in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. She has also been an expressive arts facilitator at PYE Global Network’s Power of Hope Camp at Whidbey Island (USA).

Madhavi is a commerce graduate from Mumbai Varsity and qualified in IATA Professional. She has extensive experience in Administration; after a fruitful career spanning 10 years with Sahara Airlines in Reservation/Ticketing/ Passenger Handling and Administration, she took a sabbatical to attend to two growing sons both of them today pursuing technical education in the US and India. She has also handled Travel Desk and Administration in AMI TECH India Private Ltd for 2 years. She has been happy to work in the ambient surroundings as an Administrator with Pebble Creek since 2017. Her pleasant demeanor and approachability while handling day to day interactions, ensuring smooth relationship between parents, teachers and all support staff, in discharging administrative duties in the school makes Pebble Creek office a welcome place every day!

Santosh supports in managing all financial matters of the school as well as liaison with various government departments. But these are only two of the many hats that he dons at Pebble Creek. He is excited about working with technology and troubleshooting things; out of this passion, he provides IT related support to the team. He is also closely associated with the logistics and procurement team and oversees some of the operations at Pebble Creek. He loves adventure and has a special interest in rock-climbing and rappelling.

Kalpana is a graduate in commerce, and has successfully completed Montessori Assistant Course (3-6 years) and CEEP (Certificate of Experiential Education Practices). She joined Pebble Creek High Montessori School in 2009 as an assistant teacher in Primary Montessori. Her eagerness and excitement to learn new things led her to engage with elementary school as well. With her background in commerce and good administrative skills, Kalpana then proceeded to join the Accounts and Administration department of Pebble Creek. She feels that at Pebble Creek she got exposure of various kinds which has helped her grow as a person, and thus she is incredibly happy to be associated with the organisation.

Pragathi has an M.A. in Public & Personnel Management. Having got introduced to Montessori education in the US, during her stint there and in quest for Montessori education for her children, Pragathi ended up making her career in teaching. In her long-standing association of over eight years with Pebble Creek, beginning as an Assistant Teacher and covering differential aspects of the school operations – administration, coordination etc., now Pragathi has been working with Lower Elementary as a facilitator for learning.

Hima Bindu has an M.A. in Literature with a B.Ed, and has been working with children for over a decade. She says that working at Pebble Creek has provided her with a valuable opportunity to explore herself and to apply her academic work and experiences in a professional environment. She is a creative person who strives to turn an activity or a space into a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing adventure.

Swathi has been with Pebble Creek since the time it was a small school. She believes that she has grown a lot with Pebble Creek. Anamika Mishra is committed to students’ success inside of the classroom and in life. She believes in enhancing learning through story-telling and classroom experiences. She promotes fun, growth and a sense of family for her children. Before deciding to enter the world of Education, she has had an experience in the industry of Logistics and Import/Export post her graduation in Science and a Diploma in Import and Export. For adding value to her passion for Education, she has done her B.Ed. and a post graduation in both English and Hindi Literature. She has been in the teaching profession for over twelve years. She believes that every student can be helped to conquer their unique and personal barriers which can make learning engaging and meaningful. She volunteers over 200 hours annually, helping in the old-age homes and orphanages.

Preeti is a Pebble Creek parent turned Montessori teacher, who strongly believes that education should nurture independence, compassion and happiness. She joined the Pebble Creek Lower Elementary team after completing the Montessori Elementary Diploma from AMI, the Netherlands. She holds Master’s degrees in Human Resource Management and Education, both from the University of Illinois. She has worked with several schools in the United States in evaluating their Math and Science programs. She also has experience working in the area of Educational Human Resources. Preeti loves to travel, as well as to write, read and dance, and hopes to bring these interests to the children she works with.

Kavitha is a dedicated and soft spoken person with a wide range of interests – from art and craft to theatre. Mercy has been working in education for over eleven years. She has a Post-graduation in Bio-chemistry and Bachelor of Education in Biology. Within Pebble Creek, Mercy has held several leadership positions and presently is the Academic Coordinator of Upper Elementary and Secondary School. She brings in her versatility and scientific approach to her interactions which allows her to look into any issue methodically and from various perspectives. This also allows her to have meaningful interactions with children which ignites the spark of inquiry. She leads the team by providing a good balance of individual space and working within timelines and fulfillment of essential procedures. She is passionate about dance and considers it to be a great workout. She is often found mentoring students in dance presentations motivating them towards individual excellence and group synergy while having a lot of fun.

She is an organized, positive and hardworking person with good communication and interpersonal skills. She has the ability to learn quickly and to adopt new things in her work. Angelina has over ten years of experience in teaching and she enjoys it very much. She has been associated with Pebble Creek since 2017 and she feels delighted to be part of a positive and caring teacher-team in the school. She has done her Masters in Computer Application and holds a Bachelor’s in Education as well as a Diploma in Experiential Education and Practice. She also loves music and is often found mentoring students at Pebble Creek in western vocals. She emphasises that while she teaches, she also gets to learn new things from her students and some of them have inspired her in the most remarkable way. She believes in learning every day and uses every opportunity to build her skills and broaden her perspectives.

Shakuntala works with Middle and Secondary School children as a Hindi teacher. With over sixteen years of teaching experience, she is able to provide appropriate guidance to secondary school students in language development and preparing for external examinations. She is an MA in Hindi Literature and Political Science, and has a Bachelor’s in Education. Her passion for art and craft, and her education in Home Science has allowed her to instill passion for various handiwork for students at Pebble Creek who have learned tailoring, knitting, embroidery and various crafts from her. Her dedication and hard work keep her students and colleagues on-track with their work.

Rajitha works with Upper Elementary and Secondary School children as a Telugu teacher. Her patience and commitment towards her work allows her to create a safe space for students to build competency in Telugu. She has an M.A. and B.Ed. Rajitha has been a district level volleyball player, and is naturally inclined to physical fitness. She is also excited about exploring Art and Craft. Anne Anish has been a development professional for more than a decade. She has a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Osmania University and MSc Psychology from the University of Madras. She has worked with International Organisations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Alliance India (AP), Child Fund India and Government Agencies like CAPART and APSACS. She has extensive experience on a wide spectrum of issues like Child development (especially in rural areas and children living in difficult situations), Women empowerment, HIV/AIDS, Health and sanitation, micro-finance and livelihoods. She represented Alliance India in the 8th International HIV/AIDS Congress (UNAIDS). She has been associated with the Hyderabad Academy of Psychology (HAP) as a counsellor providing counselling services to corporates and individuals. She is now realizing her passion for working with children by addressing their psychosocial needs and providing a safe environment to nurture and realize their best potentials. She is deeply committed to the cause of “Helping people help themselves.”

Likitha has done her graduation in Psychology from Osmania University as well as a Diploma in Special Education. She is currently pursuing her BEd in Special Education. It gives her a lot of satisfaction and joy to work with children with special needs and their parents, and to see them grow. Prior to joining Pebble Creek, she had worked at a child development center where she has seen positive changes in children with whom she has worked. Likitha’s understanding of the neuro-divergent spectrum, her ability to work methodically to support children with diverse needs, and her compassionate working style makes her an invaluable member of the team.

Veeru is passionate about teaching carpentry to children by capturing their interest. He loves surfing the internet to be able to do innovative things in his classes. One thing which he wants to share with people about his carpentry classes is that children working with various tools is an important experience which we need to provide to our children. Safety measures are non-negotiable but getting minor cuts is also a part of the process and we need to let children experience it. He says that he didn’t complete his schooling because it didn’t make any difference to his life and therefore he teaches and believes in working on skills which can be carried by the children for their whole life and which enable them to be self-sufficient.

Anand is a Clay Master Trainer and has received an award from the Govt. of Telangana for participating as Master Trainer in Skill Upgradation Training on clay Ganapathi and diya making conducted by T.S. MBC Development Corporation. He has completed his Intermediate education and has been associated with Pebble Creek for the past eight years teaching pottery and clay modeling to students across grades.

Naresh is a Physical Educator at Pebble Creek. He was an electronic engineer by chance and now glad to be a physical educator by choice. He completed his schooling in Andhra Pradesh and graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Since his school days he was enthusiastic about sports where he started his journey as a footballer. Football – his passion made him complete his bachelor’s in Physical Education from Kakatiya University after which he went on to receive All India Football Federation D license certificate from Mumbai. Naresh is a national football player. He loves to be on the ground and enjoys working with kids, coach them and hone their sports skills. He is happy to train, learn and spend time with kids at pebble creek

Arindita is a graduate in Mass Media and Mass Communication from Delhi University. She has a BEd, a Diploma in Experiential Education and Practices, an Advanced Professional Diploma in Training and Behavioural Management, and a Certificate in Film Appreciation. She has been an expressive arts facilitator at PYE Global Network’s Power of Hope program for adolescent youth (USA). Arindita is also the co-founder of a not for profit organisation that works for the empowerment of the Adivasi community of Assam, and has prior professional experience in the field of media production, documentary filmmaking, book publishing, event management, travel and outdoor adventure, and expressive arts for people with diverse needs. She has been working with children since 2007. She believes that Pebble Creek’s strength comes from its earnest people, and she aims to strengthen collaborations, create smooth flow of communication, and build upon the diversity in the community to bring valuable exposure to our children’s lives. Witnessing the children imbibe the spirit of empathy, compassion and inquiry as they grow, keeps her motivated day in and day out.

Besides her work as a Vice Principal and Middle and Secondary School teacher, Arindita facilitates Expressive Arts and Theatre at Pebble Creek. Her introduction to visual art has its roots in her childhood; she learned how to draw and paint from her father. Besides that, watching and helping her father make sign boards as his part-time vocation, she received hands-on experience of calligraphy at home. During her graduation in Delhi University, she was actively involved in the Fine Arts and Theatre Societies of the college, production designing and performing alternative theatre in various cities across India. Her initial work with art and theatre started in 2007 conducting workshops for neurodivergent children which was followed by many youth leadership programmes in Delhi NCRl. She also facilitated at Power of Hope Camp at Whidbey Island (USA) organised by PYE (Partners for Youth Empowerment) whose focus is to unleash the creative potential of young people through the creative community model. At Pebble Creek, Arindita’s focus with various arts is to build a creative community by offering a safe space for self-expression and exploration.

Shurobi Hindocha is a Mass Communications and English Literature graduate. She has many years of freelance and full-time experience in Language Skills Assessment, Content Writing, Communications Training and Operations and Management, along with experience working with a few NGOs/NPOs. She found her calling in Education, Montessori and has a Diploma in 3 to 6 years and 6 to 12 years, Primary and Elementary Diplomas from AMI, the Netherlands. She holds a B.Ed. Degree and a Diploma in Experiential Education and Practice. She has been in the field of education for over 13 years, and is particularly interested in Learning and Developmental Science.

As a parent and an Educator, she strongly believes that learning comes naturally to all children and it is the ‘everyday experiences and moments in life that have the greatest potential and also equal if not more impact than academics and skill building, on the overall development and wellbeing of children. She enjoys writing, dance, music, handcrafts like weaving, crochet and pottery, photography, poetry, and philosophy.
