Student Council

The best moments usually occur when a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile. The optimal experience is thus something that we make happen.

The Student Council of Pebble Creek Life School is a body of elected representatives from each class of middle and secondary school. It was instituted with the objective of having greater student representation in decisions that are made for students in the school. Each class representative is expected to take initiative in encouraging their peers to be mindful of the school’s core values, as well as, inclusion of all students in discussions, activities and events.

Another aim of the creation of the Council is for our students to understand the process as well as the dynamics of a democratic election. The Council Elections is a fortnight long affair which includes nomination filing, candidature announcement, manifesto presentation, question hours, campaigning and polling. While election campaigns can be truly divisive in nature, the students – both the candidates and voters, are constantly mentored about the ethics and integrity of democratic elections. Students volunteer for the Election Commission, which oversees the entire process until the declaration of results.
