PM- Language Workshop

We were delighted to host our Primary Montessori Language Workshop for parents on 25th October. It was a wonderful opportunity to share how language plays such an important role in a child’s early development. Together, we explored how everyday conversations and storytelling help children express their thoughts, build confidence, and connect with the world around them.

Parents enjoyed watching presentations on Sandpaper Letters and Moveable Alphabets, seeing how children first learn sounds and then begin to form words and phrases — the exciting journey towards reading! The Metal Inset presentation showed how little hands learn to hold a pencil and develop fine motor skills, an important step before writing.

We also shared the Classified Pictures activity, which encourages children to describe what they see and express ideas rather than just naming objects. The Reading Analysis presentation was another key highlight, demonstrating how question games gradually help children form complete phrases and sentences — an important step in developing comprehension and communication skills.

A special moment of the session was the Parts of Speech presentation using Adjectives with animals, where parents saw how Montessori symbols make grammar come alive for children. Instead of memorizing terms like noun or adjective, children experience these concepts through engaging, hands-on materials that make learning joyful and meaningful.
