Our Grade 4 and 5 students had a “field” day—literally! They visited a local farm to see plant science in action. From classifying leaves and stems to learning about soil health and irrigation, our students became mini-agriculturists for the day. They observed leaf shapes, margins, and stem types up close. Learned how texture and moisture impact healthy growth. They also saw how weeding and smart irrigation help crops thrive. It was a wonderful day of curiosity and critical thinking, giving our students a new appreciation for the food we eat every day.
