On 4th August 2026, the Elementary students of Grades 4 and 5 visited the Birla Science Museum for an educational field trip designed to extend learning beyond the classroom. The visit encouraged curiosity, scientific thinking, observation, and inquiry while helping students connect classroom concepts with real-world applications. During the visit, the children explored a variety of exhibits showcasing ancient sculptures, Terracotta Figurines, bronze statues, palm-leaf manuscripts, traditional tools, temple ware, and arms and armour, gaining insights into India’s rich cultural and archaeological heritage. They also visited the Electronics and Mechanics galleries, where interactive exhibits on physics, space science, and technology made scientific concepts engaging and easy to understand. Students learned about prehistoric life, human evolution, and the underwater excavation at Dwarka. A major highlight of the visit was the impressive 44-foot mounted skeleton of Kotasaurus yamanpalliensis, which sparked great interest in fossils and paleontology. The field trip provided a meaningful blend of science, history, and technology, making learning enjoyable and memorable. It successfully reinforced classroom learning while inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a lasting appreciation for scientific discovery and India’s heritage.
