National Post Day

On October 10th – National Post Day, our Grade 4 children visited the nearby Post Office to gain an insight into the day to day working of the local postal department and its contribution in maintaining effective communication channels across the world.

The staff explained the flow of work on how the mails were delivered on a day to day basis. They were given an idea to postal items such as inland letters, types of stamps and their usage, post card, revenue stamps etc. They were also briefed about the various services offered such as savings, insurance policies, speed post, parcel delivery etc.
They were excited to mail a postcard to their near and dear ones. The trip was indeed a real-world experience to them.
