The 1st event of the AY 2025-26-11th International Day of Yoga was celebrated on Friday, 20th June 2025 at our school.
The day started with explaining the importance and benefits of Yoga to our children. Children were introduced to Pranayama – breathing exercises such as Bhramari, Anulom – Vilom and Bhastrika. While practicing, children focused on their breath, felt calm, and relaxed doing so. After warmup exercises, they moved to other basic Asanas such as Baddha Konasana, Tadasana, Vrikshasana that help in improving body posture and balance, strengthening body muscles, increasing flexibility and concentration.
They thoroughly enjoyed performing the postures. Here are a few pictures from the day.
