On 18th July 2026, Practical Life Workshop for parents of children aged 2.5–6 years was held, offering an insight into the role of Practical Life activities in nurturing a child’s independence and confidence.
The session began with a game, followed by an introduction to the areas of Practical Life and how the activities are carefully sequenced to support the child’s overall development. Parents were given an understanding of the purpose behind the materials and how they help develop concentration, coordination, order, responsibility, and self-reliance in the child.
The workshop was highly interactive, with parents actively participating in the activities, and exploring the materials. Simple, meaningful ways to extend Practical Life experiences at home through everyday routines were also discussed. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where parents gained further clarity on supporting their child’s Montessori journey.
