The Elementary EVS- Parent workshop was conducted on 18th July 2026 at our school. It was designed around Montessori principles of cosmic education and self-directed discovery. The glimpse of how elementary children are introduced to concepts of EVS such as Botany, Zoology, History were shown by the guides.
The programme started with a game about ecological interdependence, demonstrating how every living and non-living element in an ecosystem is connected; and how breaking one link in the chain impacts the entire system. The event encouraged child-led exploration of the natural world, allowing children to connect deeply with their environment through materials and real-world experiences. This was followed by briefing the methodologies incorporated by the teachers and suggestions as to how children can be supported at the home-front.
